What is the PE & Sport Premium for Primary Schools?
Each year, the Government invests £320 million into Primary Schools with the objective of achieving self-sustaining improvement in the quality of PE and sport.  There is a long term vision that all pupils leave primary school physically literate and with the knowledge, skills and motivation necessary to equip them for a healthy lifestyle and lifelong participation in physical activity and sport.

There are 5 key indicators that schools should expect to see improvement across:

Sport Premium at Maulden Lower School

We believe PE and sport are an essential part of every child’s development.  We endeavour to provide high quality physical education and sporting opportunities for every child, equipping them to lead healthy, active lifestyles as well as providing the children with the necessary skills of good sportsmanship, to strive for excellence and not be discouraged if they do not win.

We aim to offer a balanced program and a variety of activities to provide all pupils with the opportunity to develop a broad spectrum of skills whilst enabling them to develop acceptable fitness levels. We want to raise the aspirations of every student as well as the determination and enthusiasm to pursue a healthy and active lifestyle in future years.

Detailed below are documents that detail how we have spent our sports premium allocation but also the impact this has had:
