A Huge Thank You

We would like to extend our thanks to all of the families who gave so generously to our Harvest food collection before half-term.  As you will see from the photo below, we were able to donate a huge array of produce to Foodbank.  In fact, the charity have written to the school, asking us to thank all involved and to confirm that our donations weighed a total of 170.92 kg and provided the equivalent of around 406 meals! If you would like to read the entire letter  Maria Guest of Bedford Foodbank, then please click here.

Welcome to Maulden Lower School's Virtual Harvest Festival. Please take a look at our order of service below.

The children and staff of Maulden Lower School are pleased to present their Harvest songs, readings and prayers for you to enjoy, but first a welcome message from Mrs Dwyer, our Headteacher.

Thank you to everyone who has shared in our virtual Harvest service and to everyone who has kindly donated food. Please see below for a short video showing how this food will be used. We wish you all a restful half-term break.

History Day - Monday 28th September 2020

We enjoyed our day celebrating all things historical! The children had lots of enrichment experiences to further their understanding of history. Year 4 went on a trip out of school to Celtic Harmony (with Covid safety restrictions in place!), Year 3 created some Stone Age painting, Year 2 researched the history of the school, Year 1 learned about the golden age of pirates and Early Years found out about old and new toys. Please see the slideshow below for a small selection of photos.
